Some old pics from the beginning..
So way back when, our bread used to get prooved (rising process) in a garden shed.. which we bought and assembled with millions of screws.. and to create the moisture in our proover, we had a gas ring on the floor with a pot of boiling water on it.. not exactly to health and safety regulations but it got the job done! And as you can see (in the pic) there is our garden shed in the background and Dave and I looking proud of our efforts!
Then there was our other baby, now this little guy was right there with us from day dot. He had his portacot at work and while he was sleeping, we were baking and packing..
And now he's all grown up (he's 17 too!) and comes and works in the bakery during his holidays. Crazy how fast that went!
Lastly, this is a pic from our first Food Show in Auckland, Dave, Kirsten (me) and Paulie very overwhelmed because we had never done anything like this before but loving talking with people about what we were doing and hearing their positive feedback.
