The Keto Diet (short for Ketogenic diet) is great for weight loss, reversing disease and offers many other health benefits. The core idea of the keto diet, is centred around an alternative fuel-source for the body called “ketones”, which are produced when blood sugar (glucose) are scarce. By limiting carb consumption, and eating only moderate amounts of protein, the blood sugar that would be typically produced is replaced by ketones.
Ketones are produced from fat by the liver. Going Keto, means that your entire body begins to run mostly on fat, burning it pretty much all time. So if you’re looking for a new weight loss diet, this may be it! It’s also likely you’ll find yourself with more brain power and less general hunger.
