Back to where time and nutrition mattered, back to Mum's jars of alfalfa sprouts on the window sill ✨ Home St. (actual place) is where Kirsten and Dave first met and planted the little seed that was to sprout into Bakeworks 🌱 Home St. is about beginnings, about sprouted goodness and about rediscovering nutritious bread again.

Our humble beginnings..

In true kiwi tradition Bakeworks started with that 'can do' attitude, loads of awesome ideas and not much of anything else (typical jumping the gun). Way back then (2001) our customers were crying out for more allergy friendly food they could actually eat. While our early gluten free loaves were less successful, we stuck at it until we nailed the best around.
